Our Chicago-based clients purchased a one-story nondescript ranch to serve as a weekend and vacation home. The attraction was the double wooded lot with a backyard zoned so it could not be developed. With passion and expertise our clients have created what can only be described as an amazing arboretum. Now as they looked to turn their weekend home into their full-time residence, SVB + Reckley was hired to create a home that was sympathetic to the beautiful environment and created a seamless transition between the outside and inside. A second-story bedroom, bath, and office along with a complete gutting and renovation of the 1st floor resulted in the forever home of our clients’ dreams.
